From Farm

Eco Terreno Wines & Vineyards, nestled between Russian River and Mayacamas Mountain, is an organic, regenerative, sustainable vineyard in Alexander Valley. As a team, we are committed to careful nurturing of our vineyards, produce, animals, supportive insects, and riparian zone. With each bountiful harvest we are reminded of the beauty of our collaborative efforts and look forward to sharing the wine and food with you.

To City

Though Sonoma is close to San Francisco, a trip to wine country requires a generous amount of time in copious amounts of traffic. It’s for this reason that we chose to bring the essence of the valley to the city.

Our Eco Terreno SF Tasting Room offers engaging wine tasting experiences that highlight our commitment to sustainability and quality. Guests can enjoy a carefully curated selection of our finest wines while learning about the unique terroir and eco-friendly practices that go into each bottle. With knowledgeable staff on hand to guide you through the tasting process, it’s an opportunity to deepen your appreciation for wine in a welcoming and informative atmosphere. Whether you’re a seasoned enthusiast or a curious newcomer, we invite you to join us for a memorable experience!

History of 124-148 Columbus

Located at the crossroads of Chinatown, North Beach, and Jackson Square. Our vibrant, historical neighborhood, once known as The Barbary Coast, was a debaucherous, controversial district giving rise to the overarching persona of San Francisco.

Our building has been a constant supporter of tolerance and acceptance offering a safe place of expression and freedom to all guests. In 1918, Jelly Roll Morton opened the Jupiter Club, a ‘black and tan club.’ Black and tan clubs were safe places for inter-racial mingling, frowned upon in societal norms of the time. In 1936, it housed Mona’s, the first openly lesbian club, marketing itself as ‘a place where girls could be boys. And in the politically charged beatnik era, it was home to the infamous cellar club, The Purple Onion. The Purple Onion was a launching pad to fame and a frequent stage for noted entertainers including Phyllis Diller, The Kingston Trio, The Smothers Brothers, Lenny Bruce, Maya Angelou, and more.

We are proud to pay homage to our history by continuing the legacy of tolerance and acceptance in a safe and loving environment offering hospitable service, great wine, talented entertainment, and a ton of fun!
