Eco Terreno Wines & Vineyards, founded in 2012, produces and sells wines made from biodynamically and organically grown grapes. Our vineyards are located in the beautiful Alexander Valley, on the banks of the pristine Russian River. Wine Club Coordinator

Position/title: Wine Club Coordinator

Department: Eco Terreno Wines & Vineyards

Reports to: General Manager

Summary

Under the direction of the General Manager, the Wine Club Coordinator will assist with duties required to support and grow the Eco Terreno wine club through service and gracious customer support. Duties will be based out of the Sonoma Administrative offices and will include regular visits to the San Francisco Tasting Room to interact with guests and other team members. The Wine Club Coordinator should possess a strong desire to create and maintain relationships with every club member and look forward to planning and coordinating both on-site and off-site events as well as regularly engaging in phone and email communication.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Eco Terreno Wine Club Logistics (50% of duties)

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for wine club members in the Sonoma Administrative Offices
  • Proactively communicate with all wine club members supporting high levels of seamless guest service and member retention
  • Coordinate and implement Eco Terreno’s annual wine club logistics:
    • Plan SKU depletions and inventory needs, order processing, and fulfillment in Wine Direct
    • Provide annual forecasting, analysis, and reporting for club activity
    • In collaboration with the Hospitality Director, plan, prepare, and perform all functions of the wine club events
  • In conjunction with members of the operations team, oversee wine club and Sonoma Administrative Office/DTC inventory management (wine club wines, collateral, and supply inventory)
    • In conjunction with the operations team, coordinate inventory process with Tasting Room, including new wine releases, low-inventory wines, and recommend wines for tasting room flights
  •  Visit Tasting Room as needed to receive special guests and wine club members, as well as support special events as needed
    • Educate tasting room team members on wine club and consider trends influencing wine club sales & sign-ups
  • Assist in production planning for existing and future product development related to the wine club

eCommerce, Phone, Web Sales (25% of duties)

  • Co-manage website updates in conjunction with other sales team members; maintain Eco Terreno website and eCommerce Portal with brand updates and current release wines to support Wine Club sales
  • Oversee and support subordinate sales positions in the Sonoma Administrative Offices
    • Support in processing Direct-to-Consumer customer orders, including providing order delivery updates/confirmations
  • Co-implement and assist in the development of email marketing campaigns in conjunction with marketing team
  • Prepares wine club and sales reports for wine club, Direct-to-Consumer sales, social media, and marketing initiatives
  • Oversee shipping and fulfillment of all Direct-to-Consume orders, including delivery exceptions, shipping/fulfillment, and quality control
    • Manages and stocks all in-house shipping materials and on-site marketing collateral
    • Organize and supervise timely and accurate shipments across all DTC sales channels

Marketing (25% of duties)

  • In conjunction with marketing team, maintain brand standards and inventory levels for consumer packaging, shipping collateral, and added-value items
  • Lead in creating new wine club material
  • Participate in the creation and calendaring of blog material
  • In conjunction with other Sonoma Administrative Office team members, assist with Digital Marketing/social media efforts
    • As directed\ facilitate graphic design needs with support from marketing firm
    • As directed, collaborate content and work with photographers to create content
    • As directed, assist with the planning annual of calendars
  • Plan and oversee wine competition and awards submissions
  • Under the direction of the General Manager and in conjunction with the Hospitality Director, evaluate philanthropic endeavors (e.g., auctions and donations)
  • Participate in supporting non-wine club events through organizing logistics and attending as needed (e.g., festivals, private party Philanthropic partners, vineyard tours, & tasting room events related to the wine club)

Job Requirements

  • Education/Experience: associate degree (required) or bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • Minimum 5+ years beverage sales experience (wine sales preferred)
  • Minimum 1+ year running wine clubs (required)
  • Proficiency with Wine Direct wine sales system (required)
  • Detailed oriented in event planning, communication, and logistics
  • Familiarity with wine, wine and food pairings, wine hospitality, and Direct-to-Consumer sales strategies
  • Foundational knowledge of wine sales reporting and sales forecasting
  • Foundational knowledge of wine marketing, including proficiency with social media strategies, direct marketing, and Customer Relationship Management systems
  • Strong observational skills
  • A healthy dose of humor
  • The ability to work and contribute as a team member
  • Willingness to work and grow in all capacities that a wine company requires
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet the company’s automobile insurance requirements

Wine Farm Intern

Position/title: Wine Farm Intern

Department: Eco Terreno Wines & Vineyards

Reports to: General Manager

Summary

Under the direction of the Vineyard Manager, and the Eco Terreno Farm team, this position will complete daily duties required for the garden, farm, and animal husbandry programs. The intern will be an integral part of the team in understanding what is occurring in the vineyard and on the farm in order to make decisions in real time. An ideal candidate will be immersed in all facets of working on a farm and be able to complete assigned farm projects. We are looking for a versatile intern to help connect all aspects of our diverse Wine Farm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Vineyard and Animal Programs

  • Perform data collection, monitoring, analysis, and create grazing reports for our vineyard, garden, and riparian areas under the direction of the ETW Leadership team
  • Provide exceptional animal care to our flocks and livestock under the direction of the ETW Leadership team, including daily care

Garden Programs

  • Seed, harvest, process, deliver, weed, and record data from the garden
  • Implement weekly composting and worm program in garden
  • Aid in the preparation of the soil and fertility surrounding the garden through application of biodynamic sprays and our surrounding biodiversity and companion plantings adjacent to the garden

Farm Programs

  • Work with the rhythm of biodynamics and apply preparations to the property
  • Monitor our fruit and olive trees for pests
  • Aid in weekly monitoring and assess overall blue bird box program to understand the lifecycle of their presence on the Wine Farm.
  • Work with the ETW leadership team to plan, propagate, and plant perennials and hedgerows throughout the property to increase biodiversity.
  • Learn, plant, and harvest for biodynamic preparations to build capacity for our preparation program.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned in relation to the farm and vineyard (e.g., harvest).

Job Requirements

  • Education/Experience: Must be currently or recently enrolled (within the last 2 years) in a credential education program/ animal husbandry experience (preferred).
  • Language: Fluent in English with strong oral and communication skills. Basic Spanish (preferred).
  • Skills: Capability and desire to utilize relevant computer skills, including spreadsheets, word processing, and database programs.
  • Knowledge: working knowledge of basic animal husbandry, livestock nutrition, animal behavior, soils, and plant species (preferred).
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet the company’s automobile insurance requirements.
  • Full time availability for position: Tuesday- Saturday
  • Other: must have valid documentation to meet US work requirements, no assistance with Visas will be provided.
