April 2023 Lyon Pride Wine Club - Welcome Members!
It's time to say “good morning” as our vineyard and wine farm begin to awaken from their long winters nap. Our crew has been hard at work, tending to our vines, pruning away the old growth of 2022, making way to a fresh new vintage of grapes. We're excited for new beginnings!
January was wet. There was more rain than 2022, and double what we received in 2020/21 combined! Our catchment pond and soils are soaking up this extra water for use during the season.
Our sheep are here. During January and February, we welcomed over 300 sheep to the vineyard to graze, mow, and naturally fertilize the soil between vines.
The summer seeds are planted. Our garden team has started seeding and sowing summer crops which include, tomato, squash, peppers, and corn, just to name a few of the bountiful produce we will see later in the year. Much of these are sent to our San Francisco Urban Tasting Room and Supper Club to be featured in wine and food pairings, and decadent dinners. Come visit to taste our new seasonal menu.
We also showcase our produce every Sunday at Sebastopol Farmer’s Market! Come check out our booth for fresh, organic produce and of course, wine!

Light lees contact while aging for 4 months in neutral French oak, improved both the mouth feel and texture.
